1. What time do I drop off my car?
Drop off time begins at 8:30 am and continues to 10:00 am.Vehicle MUST be returned by 10:00 am. Vehicle that is returned after 10:00 am will be charged an automatic $20.00 per hour late fee (2 door); and $30.00 per hour (4 door).

2. Can I smoke in the vehicle?
Smoking is PROHIBITED in the vehicle. Customers who return the vehicle with signs of and/or smell of smoke will be charged $150.00.

3. Can I rent a child car seat?
Currently, we do not rent car seats; although we plan to do so in the near future.

4. I have a US drivers license, will this be acceptable?
All licenses from the United States are acceptable in the Virgin Islands. Customers with foreign licenses must purchase a temporary license. Lionel Jeep Rental can provide the customers with this license at a fee of $30.00. The Temp license is valid for 90 days.

5. Do you do pick-up and drop-off?
We do pick up and drop off only in the Cruz Bay town area and Westin Resort. We do not pick up or drop off at Coral Bay, Cinnamon Bay or any other places outside of Cruz Bay Town. We pick up and drop to the ferry dock.

6. Can I park at Lionel when I am going to dinner or shopping?
Lionel is located at the entrance of the car ferry; a short stroll to and from most shops and restaurants. Yes, you may park once space is available and walk to and from dinner or shopping

7. Do you provide roadside assistance?
Yes, we do. If you have a flat tire or any vehicle problems you cannot resolve, please call us and we will come to assist you. We do not provide that assistance to Lameshur area.

8. Is Gas included in the rental rate?
No, gas is not included in the rate. We give the vehicle with a full tank of gas at the time of rental. Customer is responsible to replace the gas when returning the vehicle. If the customer does not return the vehicle with a full tank, Lionel will replace the gas at the customer's expense. This means your credit card will be charged for the cost for replacing the gas, plus $15.00 Service charge.

9. Can I remove/open the tops of the vehicle?
No, you are not permitted to remove/open the tops of the vehicles. Although the Wranglers were designed to allow the tops to open; it has become very problematic in the Virgin Islands. After the top is opened for a couples of times, the seal will not close properly which causes the vehicle to leak. While we do not know for sure what the cause of this is, our theory is: because the island is so small and we are surrounded by sea, there is salt in the air that settles around the seal which prevents it from properly sealing and cause it to leak.

11. Can I add additional drivers?
Of course, each additional Drivers is $5.00 per day. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver: have a valid drivers license, meet our minimum age requirement with a clean driving record.

12. When can I pick up our vehicle?
Pick up begins at 10:30am. If however our vehicle is already on our lot arrangments can be made to pick up as early as 9:00 am

13. Do you provide a customer shuttle?
Yes, we provide a courtesy service to transport customers to/from our office and the ferry dock or hotels located nearby only. We DO NOT shuttle to or from Villas.
